Step-by-step to use BrainChat.AI
Step 1. Get your OpenAI Key
To obtain your API key, sign up for an OpenAI account at platform.openai.com/signup.
Navigate to the "Manage Account" section, find the “API keys” option, and generate your API keys. After that, copy the key and enter it into BrainChat.

IMPORTANT
You must have a paid OpenAI account and will be charged for API usage.
The OpenAI API paid account is separate from the ChatGPT Plus subscription.
A ChatGPT Plus subscription is not required to use BrainChat.
Step 2. Create your first chat
Select the AI model you'd like to use. Then click on New Chat (top left) to start interacting by writing your first message.

Step3. Import your existing conversations from ChatGPT (optional)
If you have been using ChatGPT for a while, you might have important chats/conversations you would like to import into BrainChat.
This is how you do it:
Go to the Settings in your BrainChat account.
Click on Data and Storage
Then click on Import from OpenAI
You will see a pop-up with these instructions. Follow them.

BrainChat will retrieve all the conversations you have had with ChatGPT. You don't have to import them all if that's not what you want. You can just select the important conversations you would like to import.

Step 4. Keep your chats organized
The left sidebar displays all your chat history, allowing you to easily organize them into folders. You can also pin chats to the top for quick access, add tags or delete them to keep your workspace clean.

Step 5. Search an existing conversation
If you have kept an existing conversation into a folder then you can go to Folders to see all folders.
Pro tip: expand the view to see all your folders more adequately. You can see them as a List or a Grid. The same goes for Chats.

You can also use the search bar (top side of the navigation bar) to look for an existing chat or a folder.

Step 6. Share chats with others
Easily share your chats to help others gain insights from your interactions.
